About Christine
Christine adds hypnotherapy to her extensive experience in academia, coaching, breath work, meditation, and client transformation work. She offers individual and group hypnotherapy and coaching, as well as personal development courses designed to help you live in greater alignment with your own vision, values, desires, and purpose. She creates spaces in which you feel calm, and guides you through recognizing, owning, and living from your strength and confidence.
Over her 20 years in academia, Christine has taught graduate courses in measurement, research, writing, presenting, and instructional technology; conducted research; and mentored students and researchers. She was a tenured Associate Professor of Graduate Psychology and Director of the Ph.D. program in Assessment and Measurement at James Madison University. She has published over 25 articles and book chapters, has given over 60 presentations at professional conferences, and has designed and led many professional development trainings. She holds a Ph.D. with dual concentrations in Educational Measurement & Research and Instructional Technology.
Christine began her coaching career as a marathon training coach, which she did for 3 years with the LA Roadrunners, the official training program of the Los Angeles Marathon. She has run 5 marathons herself, and has coached hundreds of athletes (including many first-timers) to complete their marathons, running and walking beside them to the finish.
Christine is a Certified Hypnotherapist (C.Ht.) and an Honors Graduate of the HMI College of Hypnotherapy, where she also received the Director’s Award. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation (ICF), a Board Certified Coach (BCC) through CCE, a Certified NeuroTransformational Coach (CNTC) with BEabove Leadership, a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200) with the Yoga Alliance, an Energy Codes Certified Master Trainer with the Morter Institute (Dr. Sue Morter), and a certified meditation instructor with the Open Heart Project. As part of her continued professional development, Christine has trained in the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT; also known as “Tapping”) and has studied Transformational Presence Leadership & Coaching.
