Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a normal, natural state that we each experience at least twice a day: just before falling asleep and just after awakening. It is a state of focused concentration. Hypnotherapy allows us to use a person’s natural receptivity to access the hypnotic state and work with the subconscious mind to create positive change. In a typical hypnotherapy session we first engage the conscious mind in discussion of your goals, progress, beliefs that might be holding you back, etc. We then engage the subconscious mind by creating a hypnotic state, and giving suggestions related to the positive change you desire. Techniques such as guided imagery and visualization are often incorporated.

Can I be hypnotized?
Yes. Depending on how you take in information, different approaches can be used to guide you into hypnosis.
Will I lose control?
No. Hypnosis is a natural state of focused concentration. You are in control the entire time and could choose to awaken at any time. However, the hypnotic state is so relaxing and comfortable that most everyone wants to stay in hypnosis and enjoy the benefits. Also, hypnosis is a tool for working with your subconscious mind, and in fact allows you to have more control over that most powerful part of your mind.
Will I do or say things in hypnosis that I wouldn’t normally?
No. Even if they chose to, a hypnotist cannot make you do or say anything that is not in alignment with your personal values. Our work together is a partnership that is solely focused on facilitating the changes you want to make in your life.
BOoking a hypnotherapy session
Sessions are conducted online through the Zoom conferencing platform. Hypnotherapy works very well through this medium, and offers the benefit of allowing you to stay at home.
